Spotlight On Panzeri Lighting

In 1947, in the small Italian town of Biassono, Carlo Panzeri founded a workshop dedicated to crafting metal components for lighting. Post-war Italy was undergoing rapid transformation, and Panzeri quickly became known for precision, quality, and a willingness to innovate.

By the 1960s and 70s, the company had expanded from manufacturing chandelier components to producing complete lighting solutions, blending Italian artistry with technological progress. Their designs began appearing in homes, offices, and public spaces across Europe, each piece reflecting the Made in Italy ethos – meticulous craftsmanship, refined detailing, and timeless style.

Today, Panzeri is led by the founder’s son Enzo Panzeri, who joined the family business in 1980 and now serves as chief designer. The company stays true to its roots while embracing cutting-edge LED technology and sustainable production practices. Over more than 75 years, the brand has evolved into a global name in architectural and decorative lighting, with collections that feel equally at home in a modern apartment, a luxury hotel, or a heritage building.

The Philosophy

While their history is rich, Panzeri’s vision is firmly forward-looking. Every design is guided by three enduring principles that have remained constant since Carlo Panzeri’s founding vision:

1. Quality & Craftsmanship – Every Panzeri piece is made in Italy, combining traditional metalworking skills with the latest lighting technologies and rigorous manufacturing processes.
2. Research & Innovation – From minimalist geometry to sculptural statement pieces, Panzeri continuously pushes boundaries while catering to both contemporary and classic interiors.
3. Sustainability – Their commitment to long-life LEDs, recyclable materials, and responsible manufacturing reflects a deep respect for the environment.

Jackie Collection
The Jackie range showcases Panzeri’s commitment to functional beauty. Whether illuminating a designer desk, a hotel reception, or a reading nook, Jackie provides task lighting that feels purposeful and elegantly resolved.

Zero Round
The Zero Round range is instantly recognisable – a weightless circular frame that appears to float, casting both direct and indirect light. Available in multiple diameters, finishes, and mounting styles (suspended, ceiling-mounted, and wall-mounted), it’s equally at home above a dining table, in a grand lobby, or in a contemporary office. Zero Round balances minimalism with drama, making it one of Panzeri’s most celebrated designs.

Hilow and Hilow Line
Also designed by Matteo Thun, the Hilow is a freely modular suspension lighting system that provides soft light without disturbing the human eye. Featuring six linear modules in extruded aluminium, Hilow offers infinite composition possibilities with its unique reversible design – install upwards or downwards for direct or indirect lighting. Following the success of the Hilow range, the Hilow Line represents the founding principle of the system in its purest form: a linear module slender and discreet also in the light emission. This luminous stick can be installed on the wall or free-standing on the floor, with a structure in extruded aluminum and diffuser directed towards the wall for a comfortable indirect light effect. Available in black, white, titanium, bronze, and matt brass finishes, both collections are perfect for creating geometric compositions in large residential or commercial spaces.
