Sustainable Lighting Design
We are reducing our clients energy needs by using energy efficient lighting design solutions and luminaires. We specialise in lighting design by providing solutions to shape environments and enhance architecture. Great lighting design creates moods through the use of light and shadow creating drama and intrigue.
Correct lighting is not guesswork it’s based on knowledge, experience and above all access to the world’s best luminaires.
Sustainable Business
We are now in our fourth year and proud to be a part of the Carbon Neutral Program, we are turning 100% of CO2 into trees. All vehicle fuel and electricity emissions resulting from Lighting City's operations will be offset with trees planted by Carbon Neutral.
Printing
We use Scott Printing for all of our printing necessities. Being a Process Green printer ensures the protection of our environment by not only printing on recycled or plantation paper. The printing process uses green electricity, 99% petroleum free vegetable based inks with no solvent waste.
Through Scott Print we use Hanno stock which is chlorine free & manufactured from pulp sourced from plantation grown timber as opposed to being recycled paper. Converting recycled paper into new stock impacts the environment and uses more energy, so plantation sourced stock is by far a more environmentally sustainable option.
Scott print recycles waste which minimizes the impact on our environment. Process Green is made up of three environmental and quality standards; the ISO 14001 quality standard, the Level 3 Green Stamp and the ISO 9001 quality standard.
Recycling Program
We recycle over 75% of our gross waste through Transpacific's "Full Harvest" recycling program. Recycling is an important process for our environment, "Full Harvest" gives Lighting City the combination and flexibility of a Harvest recycling bin as well as a general landfill waste bin. Through this program we are able to divert a greater percentage of waste from landfill to recycled matter.
